As contemporary technologies allow to use glass to create weather-resistant and thermal packages, glass façades are becoming more and more popular in urban architecture. Façades, using opaque glass, glazing with pattern, glass blocks or panelling, allow softer, better diffused light into indoor spaces.

As it can be seen from the presented schema, from the windows and doors of a new private building built following the building standards effective in Estonia, approximately 17% of the heat escapes straight to the outside. Depending on the type of heating the heating expenses for a building of 150 m² are approximately 20,000 to 40,000 kroons annually.
Investing in Kalesi’s special HTP-10 products instead of standard HTP-1 window products, you reduce the heat loss of the windows of your house to 11%. Considering the rapid rise of the prices of thermal energy, this kind of an investment pays back the 30%* higher acquisition price in just 8 years.
Everyone of us has faced the question, whether to spend a bit more and buy something that is good, or to spend less and acquire a lower-quality product. If the product is a screwdriver that resembles a corkscrew after the first workday, then you can simply throw it away. But if we are talking about windows that cost a 5-digit sum, things are not as simple. We will follow with a comparison between PVC (plastic) windows, and German type (tilt & turn) wooden windows, to see if the higher cost of wooden windows is worthwhile.
Because glass is naturally beautiful and accumulates heat, it is perfect material for simply stunning
radiators. As well as looking fantastic, Solaris® glass radiators offer optimum comfort.
With unparalleled radiation capacity, not only do you feel the heat immediately, the heat is diffused
uniformly from floor to ceiling. Your are wrapped in warmth as if in the sun. And the heat can be
adjusted quickly and easily with different thermostats, so you can save energy too.

Our children deserve the best and this is also true when choosing furniture for them. The biggest difference between the furniture for adults and children is its size but also colors and security requirements. The place where the furniture is used plays also a role in the choosing process. For example a table that is durable at home may not be that in a pre-school. That is why a cozy looking pine table fits well in your home interior but kindergarteners should use birch as the material for their tables.
There is a company combining all four features in one product – ACCENTA, the leading Latvian producer of kitchen furniture, that starting with this week is offering its kitchens also at the Estonian market.

Next summer’s (2008) Housing Fair will be held at an extremely beautiful location by the sea in Suvilahti, Vaasa. The lush vegetation of the countryside can be seen from the windows of the houses at the fair; it is even possible to glimpse the waves on the sea, even though the centre of Vaasa is only three kilometres away. The most important amenities, like the school, kindergarten and shopping centre, are also very close.

Color affects people emotionally, often dictating attitude and behavior. When you consider a fresh coat of paint for little Johnny’s room, selecting a color that matches your decorating tastes is not enough. You want to identify the emotion conveyed by the room.
